# Removing Duplicates

### How are duplicates removed?

Duplicates are automatically removed for you by [CiteMed.io](http://CiteMed.io). They are calculated the following ways:

* Identifying a match of document unique ID (PubMed ID, PMC ID etc.)
* Determining a match on the Citation and Title of Article

### Which Databases are supported for de-duplication?

All databases on [CiteMed.io](http://CiteMed.io) are supported for automatic deduplication.
